Derrek Kupish- Emmy-Winning Creative Visionary, Brand Strategist, Manager & Producer

 

Derrek Kupish is a 2x Emmy-winning creative professional with over 15 years of experience in the music, film, and entertainment industries. Renowned for his expertise in overseeing and shaping iconic artist brands, Derrek specializes in blending strategy and storytelling to ensure his clients- images resonate with audiences and stand the test of time.

 

As the Creative Director and Social Media Manager for Grammy-winning country legend Tanya Tucker, Derrek leads the charge in managing her brand, image, and public presence. He is also co-managing Billy Ray Cyrus, playing a pivotal role in revitalizing the artist's brand and career trajectory.

 

One of Derrek's standout achievements includes his creative involvement behind the Old Town Road remix with Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X, a global phenomenon that bridged genres and made history as the longest-charting No. 1 singles of all time. His behind-the-scenes contributions helped shape the visual storytelling and marketing efforts that propelled the remix into pop culture immortality.

 

In addition to his creative leadership, Derrek serves as the Associate Producer and Video Director for The Bellamy Brother's hit TV series, Honky Tonk Ranch. It's located on the Grand Ole Opry's Circle Network and streaming on NBC's Peacock.

Beyond entertainment, Derrek enjoys hanging out with his dog Applejax the goldendoodle, scoping out new restaurant's and traveling the world. Derrek is a passionate advocate for making a difference. As a Board Member for Band As One Nashville, he collaborates with Susan G. Komen to which produces a charity concert supporting breast cancer awareness, a cause close to his heart after losing his grandmother to the disease.
